The Lighthouse

He pointed at the tall structure and asked me "Do you know what that is?" I turned my head and looked at the edifice with awe. "No, but it looks nice" was all I could say. Baba laughed. "That nice structure is called a lighthouse" he said pointing at the structure again. At the age... Continue Reading →

Desolated Soul

As you lay motionless on the mat, lifeless but with a peaceful expression, I was hoping that in some moments you would turn, look at me, point a finger at my distressed face and laugh hard, exactly like the way you did when I was a juvenile. You would pretend to be dead and naïve that I was; I would be in tears shaking your hand vigorously begging you to wake up. When you would do that, it would hurt me copiously that you played such a cruel joke on me. I would then angrily sit on your lap and tell you that I hate you and you would just wrap your hands around me and kiss me on my cheeks.

Crimson Woes

It has been so long since I had spoken to her. She kept appearing in my thoughts again and again. Yes!...I wanted her in my life and at the same time I knew that it would be disastrous to give her that space. She was mean, ruthless and a sadist. As I reached platform number Seven at Hazrat Nizzamuddin station – New Delhi, I heaved a sigh of relief. My train was still... Continue Reading →

Abhimanyu

"Oh Damn......" She said as she dropped the file. The papers scattered all over the place. She looked helpless as she looked around hoping someone would come to help her. The corridor was totally empty. No one was in sight. The heat made her sweat. "Now what? Run and pick up the papers moron" her... Continue Reading →

Sunaina..

Those dark clouds devoured the crisp morning sky. I stood in the balcony, sipping my coffee, watching the entire process. I loved the way the entire atmosphere changed in the matter of seconds. I always found this weather romantic...

Dream Personified

I sat watching the sunset for a long time. Could not take my eyes away. The beautiful golden sun slowly turned orange and suddenly there was a spurge of beautiful colours in the blue sky...

Moon and river…

One of my favourite spots in panaji is the backside of indoor stadium from where I can watch the beautiful and serene Mandovi River. I don't mind coming here at any time of the day or night. I remember......
